If you've never heard of First Aid Kit, you're missing out. Another great cover.
I barely ever listened to Vic Chesnutt but he really influenced many folks that I do listen to a ton.
RIP Mr. Chesnutt, and thank you.
This band is wonderful! I guess they were just in SF and I missed them. Dang it.
Must. Catch. Them. Next. Time. Looks very fun beyond being awesome.
This video below makes me think that Johnny Marr should sing more old Smiths songs and go on tour. I mean, Morrissey butchered a lot of them at Coachella and this actually sounds good...
He could even have his buddies sing - I wouldn't care at all...
Anyway - this is a good cause. Check it out:

Ever heard Margo Guryan? No? You should.
According to this site, Margo Guryan was a classical and jazz student in the early 60's. Ornette Coleman was a fellow student, Milt Jackson and Max Roach among her storied teachers. Hearing Brian Wilson swayed her into the ethereal world of melodic pop. The success of her songwriting, such as "Sunday Morning" (Spanky & Our Gang, Oliver) and "Think Of Rain" (Astrud Gilberto, Claudine Longet, Jackie DeShannon) earned her the chance to record an album.
Check out her website here:

Check out these clips below - I can't say much for the videos but the songs are great.
Great live solo performance in a small club.
Weird but great live performance in the world stage.
ps.
I have said it before but YouTube comments are often some of the most hideous bullshit ever to get published anywhere. Public restroom stall graffiti usually has more class and validity than the moronic spam comments on Youtube. Someone oughtta start a petition...
Sarah Silverman is a delight
I recently starting following a bunch of comedians to my twitter in an effort to make twitter more engaging.
It worked. The biggest surprise? Sarah Silverman aka @SarahKSilverman. Her stand-up is funny. As a supporting character / comedic actor, she's fantastic. But who knew she could bring the consistently funny tweets? You might not know it from watching this (see below) or even her Comedy Central show. But folloow her - you'll see. Chuckle worthy! An occasional chortle even...
That's one looooong ass kicking shot my friends.
